On Wednesday September 13th, 2023, Hayley Bromley presented her Master’s Thesis Defense, titled “The Effects of Microbial Ecosystem Therapeutic-2 on Sleep Disturbances in Individuals with Major Depressive Disorder” to Chair Felicia Iftene and committee members Dr. Alina Marin and Dr. Rose Jokic.

PhD student Cassandra Sgarbossa spent time at the Mathison Centre for Mental Health as a graduate visiting student researcher with the University of Calgary. Cassandra will be working under the supervision of Dr. Stefanie Hassel, while exploring the relationship between probiotics as treatment for depression and any related changes in the brain through neuroimaging.
